Aldo Tagliaferro was born in Legnano (MI) February 15, 1936 and showed signs of being a great painter from an early age. In 1953 he exhibited his first paintings and figurative forms part of Art Association Legnanese. In 1963 he exhibited his first solo Association of Legnano which was visited by the collector Felice Valadè, manufacturer, who offered to move him to Sesto San Giovanni (MI) in the Quartiere delle botteghe, a space made available for contemporary artists. This was an exchange of thirty paintings by artists who were popular at the time. Here, Aldo Tagliaferro confronted the new representation of De Filippi and Ceretti sign of Vermi e Buonda and the research objective of Castellani and Bonalumi the conceptual and Fabro, etc.. Since 1965 he began a photographic research that aimed to be documentation and critical analysis of the socio-political and human behaviour. In 1965 he exhibited his first work of photography at the painting premiere at the San Fedele in Milan, giving rise to discussion among the critics because photography was not considered as painting, but a minor art. He used images retrieved from the record as evidence of ‘additional processing events. In 1968, Immagini Differenziate, a work of repetitive images, but different in colour, through the use of sticky paper, which allowed to transfer the emulsion on various media. From 1968 to 1971 he was in the Mec-Art. Between 1968 and 1969 the pictures developed fused together. In 1970, Verifica di una mostra, directly used photography. The photographer shows the behavior of the user and displays it on display. The work is presented with a series of strips of frames, enlarged and displayed on an inclined plane. He also began exploring macro-images and the proxemics of the enjoyment of art. In 1970 he was invited to the Venice Biennale, giving rise to operational analysis of a place. Since 1971 he continues his photographic research independently. He died on 30th January 2009 in Parma.
