Angelo Mangiarotti was born in Milan in 1921. The artist studied Architecture at the Polithecnic of Milan and accomplished several working experiences in the USA, where he had the chance to meet pivotal achitects such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies van der Rohe and Konrad Wachsmann. Angelo Mangiarotti’s career started during the earliest 50’s and his creations, since that momoent, started to become models in architecture, design and art fields, thanks to his capacity to communicate through these disciplines normally different from each other. He opens his first Milanese head quarter studio in 1960 and then a subsidiary in Japan in 1989. Angelo Mangiarotti has been rewarded by several awards in architectural field due to his innovative ideas, which fulfill him to valorise intrinsecal charactiristic of each object. The artist sees the architecture as a language that manage to express the relationship between men and environment, in the design field, instead, he focused on the plastic research. This research ids conducted by the respect of the material characteristics and it couls be synthetised in the object shape, as a proper material quality. Angelo Mangiarotti died in Milan in 2012.
